Is it possible to gain muscle without gaining a ton of fat?
This is a hot topic in the fitness and health industry and everyone seems to have their own opinion on this. Though there is need for more investigation and research, the newest scientific studies can help us to find a way to stay lean year around and still make progress.
If you are interested in finding out the science and tips for nutrition and training, check out my 6-Part “Gain Muscle not Fat” Series and join our 4 weeks challenge!
In fact, the challenge started February 22nd and is over today. However, I decided to add a fifth week. This week features full body fat loss workouts. The workouts are all different and will put your body into fat burning mode.
After this week, you can either deload, to give your body a rest – look out for a new program for deloading next week! – or you can start over the challenge. It is recommended to follow a training plan for at least 4-8 weeks to see improvement and be able to progress.
Around 2 weeks ago, I was approached for an interview by Marc McLean from “Weight Training is the Way”. I recommend you read the article and check out his other posts as well. He shares my nutrition and fitness philosophy and has great content on his site.
Motivating people to become stronger and healthier through lifting weights and proper nutrition is the number one aim of Weight Training Is The Way.
It can change your life.
Deniza, a 24-year-old medical student from Germany, is living proof of that.
The health and fitness expert had suffered from excruciating back pain from early childhood and was diagnosed with scoliosis (curvature of the spine) and hip dysplasia.
As she hit her teenage years her conditions worsened and Deniza feared she would be in pain for the rest of her life.
Medics couldn’t help her and it was only through her own dedicated research on sports and nutrition medicine that she began to have hope. Then Deniza was given the best advice of her life….to take up strength training.
Now pain free for the past three years, Deniza is on a mission to tell the world that proper training and healthy nutrition are key to prevent and heal diseases, and achieve optimal health and happiness.
She has launched her own blog askdeniza.com and is also training to be a doctor specialising in sports and nutrition medicine. In an interview with Weight Training Is The Way, Deniza shares her amazing story and her top tops for improving your health.
I hope you like the interview and get to know me better … . Let me know if you have additional questions or suggestions for articles!
That’s it for today. I will continue the “Complete Guide to Resistance Band Training” next Monday, as I am currently on my way to Turkey for 10 days. On Thursday, I will publish a guest post that you will all find very useful, I think.
Please share your thoughts on the 4 weeks program with me, good and bad critic is welcome! I have a lot more great content planned for you… .
